HOW DOES THE OLD CHAIR OF THE LSB GET TO CO-HOST A SHOW ABOUT THE LSB ON FRIDAY (1/11) AND THE NEWLY ELECTED CHAIR NOT EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT?
In an act of unprecedented incredible effrontery towards the PFW family, the just defeated chair (tony norman) deftly utilized his partner on the LSB to open the curiously absent manager’s show ( Managers Mailbox) with this statement. “Good Morning, this is the LSB show I’m Pete Tucker a member of WPFW’s Local Station Board.”
Thus began a bizarre hour of personal opinion, self serving, self -congratulatory repetitive overlapping dialogue with what was clearly an attempt to prime the pump of revisionist versions of how we the listeners should ‘understand’ the “highlights” of the past year. Norman whose time on the mic positioned him as the de facto co-host of this show was front and center in this “highlights” section about the LSB. He went on and on explaining at one point about the “highlights” (on his watch) as “important,” and “that’s why we’re doing this particular LSB show…”
THERE WAS JUST ONE PROBLEM!
THESE GUYS WERE PULLING A FAST ONE ! THERE WAS NO NOTICE GIVEN TO THE PUBLIC ABOUT THIS UPCOMING SHOW AS IS REQUIRED BY THE BYLAWS OF THE PACIFICA FOUNDATION! IT WAS NOT ANNOUNCED AND THE JUST ELECTED SLATE OF BRAND NEW OFFICERS WERE NOT EVEN NOTIFIED! THE OLD CHAIR SHOULD HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN THERE UNLESS IT WAS AT THE BEHEST OF THE NEW CHAIR!
In fact the just elected LSB Chairperson, Jean Yves Point-du-Jour happened to hear the show, knew nothing about what was being represented and called in himself. He was outraged that what he was hearing could in fact be occurring. Yves was to the point and eloquent in his remarks on the air. The bulk of those remarks are printed here,
“You yourself (Pete Tucker) did not even have the courtesy to call me to let me know that there was going to be an LSB show, what the content of such a show was, and who was going to be on it! I was not even invited to be on the show as the new elected Chair.”

I heard that show & knew right away that something wasn’t right about it. I purpose a serious occupy the station day/ week. The msg of reality isn’t going anywhere, we can not rest until there is a peace order barring John Hughes from the station. lawyers need to be involved @ this point……
Pete Tucker tries to pretend he is neutral but he is controlled. I hope people listening were paying attention. They should NOT be voted in again.
The nonsense has no end! I have some questions. You refer to Pacifica’s bylaws. Does WPFW itself have separate bylaws, or is it governed by Pacifica’s? And, is there some way we can get a copy of them? Are they posted anywhere? If they aren’t posted, then I think they ought to be so we can all become fluent in them. That would surely come in handy in these circumstances! Thanks!
